On Saturday, December 4 at 2:44 am EST, the New Moon in Sagittarius will be at its peak. Since the
new moon symbolizes beginnings, it’s a good time to set intentions and wishes around things
you want to see manifest over the next two weeks until the full moon on December 18 or over the
next six months until the full moon in Sagittarius takes place.
With each new moon and the corresponding zodiac sign, there are specific areas we can focus
on, and this fire sign is directing you to the sacral chakra located two inches below our naval.
The sacral chakra is our second chakra and is the one most closely connected with sexual and
reproductive activities, as well as emotions and creativity. It’s also associated with the color
orange, the element of water, and the ovaries and testicles. This energy center urges us to
move, dance, practice yoga. Anything that causes us to move those hips!
In matters of restoring health, Sagittarius rules the hips, thighs, and upper legs, so combine the
ninth zodiac sign’s fiery energy with the flow of the sacral chakra’s water element to activate
balance in that area of the body.
When writing down your new moon intentions or wishes, you can ask the universe to provide
the “right healers for me that restore my ______ (body area ruled by Sag) to perfect health.”
You can even say it out loud like a mantra, “I want a total healing to occur in the area of my
____ (body area ruled by Sag).” Connect with the divine by using your voice and your body
movements to call in healing.
Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion. So, with this new moon, think big, heal,
receive the positive energy you deserve, and trust in the unknown to guide you on your
righteous path. Sagittarians are considered citizens of the world. They are great motivators,
free-spirited and adventurous. Whether you are a Sag or not, you can certainly tap into this
zodiac sign’s traits under the new moon and give yourself the pep talk you need to move
forward with strength and confidence. Be careful not to air on the side of a know-it-all as that’s
an indicator that something is off balance.
So, grab a citrine or lapis lazuli crystal, place a bouquet of carnations or jasmine in your home,
anoint yourself or diffuse bergamot, tea tree, or frankincense oil, and most importantly, show
yourself unconditional love. With the intoxicating scent of the diffused oil or oil on the skin
paired with the sight of those beautiful flowers, and your go-to crystal in hand, it’s the perfect
recipe to crank up the music and allow your body to flow and heal under the New Moon in
Sagittarius. Enjoy!
* Note: Please use caution when applying essential oils directly on the skin as many need to be
mixed with a carrier oil like coconut oil before applying to the skin.
